JMU offers several perks to all employees including: General Information: The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) is seeking a Study Abroad Advisor to support students throughout all phases of the study abroad experience, including pre-application advising, pre-departure preparation, and post-program re-entry. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Study Abroad Advising and Student Support, this part-time role (20-30 hours/week, not to exceed 1500 hours/calendar year) works in close partnership with the study abroad programs team and advising staff to deliver comprehensive advising and support student engagement with program offerings. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and diverse international education environment. CGE and the university seeks individuals who are dedicated to fostering global understanding and engagement. Duties and Responsibilities: *Advise students and their families on JMU study abroad program options, application processes, scholarships, and general program logistics through one-on-one meetings, email correspondence, events, and website content management.
