Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and innovative Legal Operations Program Manager focusing on AI tools to join our Legal, Ethics and Compliance function. In this important role, you'll lead the adoption and optimization of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to drive efficiency across our function.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and execute a strategy for the identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI tools within the Legal, Ethics and Compliance department, aligning with overall business objectives and team needs.

  • Oversee the lifecycle of AI projects, from initial concept and vendor selection to pilot programs, full-scale deployment, and ongoing optimization.

  • Partner closely with attorneys, legal and compliance professionals, Corporate IT, and external vendors to understand requirements, translate legal needs into technical specifications, and ensure successful integration and user adoption of AI solutions.

  • Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and solutions relevant to legal and compliance work (e.g., contract analysis, research, e-discovery, compliance, intellectual property management), partnering with Corporate IT to conduct proofs of concept and making recommendations for procurement.

  • Identify opportunities to augment existing workflows and processes by integrating AI to drive efficiency gains and improved outcomes.

  • Develop training programs and materials for the Legal, Ethics and Compliance department on the effective use of AI tools.

  • Champion change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition and high user engagement.

  • Define and recommend key performance indicators (KPIs) for management reporting on AI tool effectiveness, usage and impact, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with Corporate IT and key stakeholders to ensure AI tool usage aligns with internal policies and key controls.

  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree

*5+ years of experience in program or project management, with a strong focus on technology implementation, preferably within a legal environment.

*Demonstrated experience with and understanding of GenAI and their practical applications.

*Proven track record of successfully leading the evaluation, selection, and deployment of enterprise-level software solutions.

*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, being able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels.

*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

*Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

*Prior experience in legal operations, legal technology, or working directly with legal departments is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience with specific legal AI tools (e.g., Icertis GenAI Workflows, Kira Systems, Relativity, Luminance, Harvey, ThoughtRiver, LexisNexis and Westlaw AI features).

*Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or agile methodologies.

*Understanding of legal industry trends and challenges related to technology adoption.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,900 to 145,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
