Senior Building & Code Compliance Inspector

As a Senior Building and Code Compliance Inspector, you are a natural leader with a great eye for detail. You have extensive experience with building and code compliance and are comfortable with both completing inspections as well as handling the "business" side of consulting. Both your internal project managers and external clients are pleased with your evaluations, since documentation is something you take pride in. Responsibilities

• Position involves performing third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections
• Perform plan reviews of commercial buildings, report review and preparation, preparation of budget proposals, and management of projects related to building system inspections
• Other expectations include the ability to interact with senior staff members and mentor junior staff members
• Additional responsibilities include marketing and business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• A minimum of five years of experience in building inspection and code compliance

• ICC (International Code Council) B2 certification required plus at least one of the following ICC certifications: M2, E2, P2

• Candidates with a BN (Building Code Inspector) certification from the Florida DBPR are highly preferred
• The ability to carry 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height

• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed
