Responsible to the Community Kids Administrative Assistant or Office Manager, site specific, in cleaning and general maintenance to help ensure health and safety within the building and grounds of the center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Clean and sanitize hard surfaces in classrooms, offices, bathrooms, kitchen, hallway, and break room daily.

- Removal of all trash and recyclables to appropriate dumpster daily.

- Vacuum all rugs/carpets daily.

- Sweep and mop all hard surfaced floors daily.

- Spot clean all glass daily.

- Disinfect high tough points (Intercoms, phones, handles, water fountain etc.).

- Dust vents, fans, ceiling lights, high shelves semi-annually.

- Wash windows inside and out semi-annually.

- Trim/Mow grass, leaf blow, and snow removal as needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Complete related work as assigned within the scope of responsibility and skill required for the job.
  • Maintenance repairs as needed within scope of ability.
  • Keep agency tools organized and secured.
  • Keep all cleaning supplies organized and out of reach of children.
  • Communicate repair and maintenance needs to the Building and Grounds Manager as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: .

  • Previous experience in cleaning, light maintenance and lawn care preferred.



LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and/or team members.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.



REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving situations which require decision-making skills.
