Overview We are seeking a CT Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient's internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Shift's Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA ** To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have
Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
4. Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.
5. Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
6. Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
7. Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire..
