Description
We are hiring a Program Manager for Circular Solutions to lead the strategy and scaling of Circular by Steelcase Services, a platform designed to advance Steelcase's environmental goals and deliver customer-centric value. This role drives cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sustainability, operations, and sales-guiding and growing programs in reuse, recycle, and remake on the journey toward a net-zero future.

You are a strategic and systems-minded leader with deep experience in sustainability, service design, and/or product innovation. You thrive in cross-functional environments, align diverse stakeholders, and translate environmental commitments into customer-focused solutions. You have a mix of analytical rigor and creative thinking and can drive impact through scalable circular strategies while keeping one eye on market trends and the other on internal integration. Resourceful, curious, and mission-driven, you navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, product marketing, service design, or innovation
  • Demonstrated understanding of circular economy principles, product lifecycle thinking, and business model innovation
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder projects
  • Comfortable influencing without authority and aligning diverse perspectives toward shared outcomes
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences and lead changes across global teams
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on ability to implement change, track metrics, and iterate based on results
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in services, marketing, business, sustainability, or related field; Master's
  • Experience within B2B or manufacturing industries
  • Certifications such as LEEP AP, PMP, or equivalent
  • Experience working with sustainability or circular economy concepts and communicating environmental value
  • Skilled in setting up and tracking environmental and business performance metrics, including lifecycle assessments and carbon impact reporting
  • Proven success in launching and scaling customer-facing service initiatives
What you will be doing:
  • Own and evolve the roadmap for Circular by Steelcase services in the Americas.
  • Use market insights to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for service expansion.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to demonstrate customer environmental impact, Steelcase's net-zero progress, and business performance.
  • Develop value propositions grounded in customer needs, market trends, and sustainability goals across all vertical markets.
  • Provide detailed product information, positioning strategies, and competitive analysis.
  • Guide certification/validation requirements for successful service implementation.
  • Recommend updates to spec guides, brochures, and style numbers.
  • Maintain the service statement of line, available parts, and technical guidance for internal and external teams.
  • Build tools to evaluate carbon emissions and landfill avoidance.
  • Actively connect with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and deliver on Circular by Steelcase service quality.
  • Serve as a central communicator-sharing learnings and progress broadly across departments and regions.
  • Partner with the Sustainability Marketing Portfolio Manager to align strategies with Steelcase's Design for Circularity initiative.
  • Evaluate existing and potential service partnerships and contracts to drive scalability and maintain quality standards.
  • Oversee strategic development, stakeholder coordination, and project execution within the Circular Services program.
