The Role will be supporting product sustainability and development engineering alike, working with technical teams to maintain production continuity, and validate HW and embedded software for industrial marking and coding equipment. We have a challenging, fast-paced environment where you'll work with software developers and reliability engineers to understand the requirement specifications and then implement automated tests for the increased reliability of our product lines.

You'll be working hands on with our Marking and Coding equipment and required to build or develop simulated I/O to collect data and run validation tests with world class equipment.Overhaul the laboratory and define how we do business as a division support unit, as well as design and build simulated I/O interfaces to hardware for automated product validation and reliability testing. Perform a wide variety of complex electrical, software or support duties in development and implementation of tests, debugging & documentation of software modules, and system end-to-end.

Job Responsibilities:

* Create and execute validation tests, working toward test automation, and replicating applications
* Develop and implement project test plans
* Participating in design reviews
* Drive creative, hands-on, electrical/firmware solutions for engineering validation
* Support program level Design for Reliability activities committed in Phase/Gate process
* Working hands-on with Markem-Imaje coders, PC's, Python, C level coding, and HTML type UI's
* Working hands-on with PLC's, Arduino, and other electrical hardware
* Hardware and Robustness Testing
* Set-up and operate unit-under-test and sophisticated data acquisition systems, test machinery [HALT and Thermal Chambers], post-process data, and report findings to design engineering.
* Establish a multi-site lab network with plans towards test automation, higher efficiency, consistency for end-to-end testing, and increased throughput and speed of results.
* Drive capital projects for lab assets including modernization and new equipment commissioning
* Working on documenting and standardizing tests, processing, and reporting
* Providing understandable feedback to electrical and reliability engineers
* Travel to Salem, NH Facility as needed

Job Requirements:

* 1-3 years' experience with bachelor's degree in an Electrical-Mechanical Engineering, or Firmware and Testing or equivalent
* Experience with PLC programming, Arduino, or custom hardware/software test bed [desired]
* Self-starting & able to work independently with minimal direction
* Experience with communication protocols: Serial Ethernet transports, TCP/IP, HTTP, REST API [considered a plus]
* Experience with QTest, Fitnesse, Atlassian JIRA [considered a plus]
* Software development or quality testing experience [considered a plus]
* Reliability of Electronics experience [considered a plus]
