The Position

Facilities Engineer I

Are you passionate about optimizing critical facilities and utility systems to drive operational excellence? We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to bring technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and a proactive approach to enhance our site's infrastructure. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting and optimizing HVAC, refrigeration, water, power, and life safety systems, all while contributing to impactful projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.   • Provide expert technical depth and troubleshooting to the facility and utilities equipment while being supported by a Sr. Facilities Engineer.
  • Using your technical analysis skills and enlisting the supporting business analysis, identify potential value-adding projects for the organization in the areas of cost, capacity/efficiency/risk management, energy and water conservation.
  • A second line of defense behind maintenance personnel, support 24 hour facility/utility equipment through troubleshooting, keep processes on-line, in control and within specification. Exercise judgment to bring in additional expertise/resources as needed to address issues. Specifically focus on HVAC equipment, refrigeration, water, power, fire & life safety systems, and specialty gasses.
  • Contribute to successful (on time, within cost results that meet project objectives) project team outcomes as a project team member or consultant. Perform process development and improvement activities such that you contribute to delivering well-developed processes/improvements, i.e. equipment, processes and systems that are characterized, controlled, stable, reliable, operable, maintainable, capable, robust, efficient, and complete per our principles of the well-developed process.
  • Create, conduct and update maintenance procedures and training to ensure that necessary theory of operation, parameter settings, and rationale, consequences of out of specifications, etc. knowledge are well understood and that maintenance methods are optimal and represent best practices.
  • Initiate, lead and/or contribute to process improvement/development/characterization projects, to include necessary pilot, design and validation activities.
  • Develop, Maintain and provide oversight of campus drawings consisting of; record drawings, red-lines, as-builts and associated graphics from BMS/Metasys.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $68,800 - $127,800 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
