This leader serves as the central voice for the end-user, ensuring IT remains deeply connected to what's truly happening in the regions. They will champion user-centric solutions, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and act as a key advisor to senior leadership on end-user technology trends and product strategies. Regional Connection & Advocacy:

  • Act as the primary local IT ambassador, actively engaging with regional business leaders and end-users to understand their daily operations, technology pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Establish formal and informal mechanisms for gathering continuous feedback from regions, ensuring their insights are prioritized and integrated into end-user technology product development.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-centric language for regional stakeholders, and conversely, translate regional business needs into actionable IT product requirements for engineering teams and GIO.

  • Champion agile and lean principles within the end-user technology domain, promoting iterative development, rapid prototyping, and continuous delivery of value.

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of end-user technology "products" (e.g., device management, collaboration platforms, desktop applications, field solutions), from discovery and design to deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization.

  • Ensure all end-user technology "products" are accomplished on time and within budget, delivering tangible and measurable value to Airgas's local business units.

  • Manage annual technical infrastructure capital and operating budgets for the end-user product domain, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.

End-User Experience & Support:

  • Champion a deeply user-centric approach to end-user technology services, relentlessly focusing on enhancing employee productivity and satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain clear Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for end-user support and product performance, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, localized services that meet Airgas's distinct operational demands.

  • Lead initiatives, driving the adoption of self-service tools and knowledge management systems to empower end users, tailoring these initiatives to effectively address common local issues.

  • Collaborate with the GIO Cloud Services team for infrastructure needs specific to end-user technology products, ensuring scalability and performance.

  • Partner with the Global Security team to enforce security best practices for all end-user devices, applications, and data. Ensure all end-user technology solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with the IT Security team.

  • Lead Airgas' Disaster Recovery team to ensure business continuity plans adequately address the end-user environment and facilitate rapid recovery.
