Inside the Role We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee the evening shift of our manufacturing and support departments, focusing on the re-manufacturing and manufacturing of electronic assemblies. This role is crucial in achieving manufacturing goals through effective communication, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of job results. The supervisor will also be responsible for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, as well as implementing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Safety Focus: Prioritize safety in all aspects of the manufacturing process. Ensure all employees adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and continuously promote a culture of safety within the team. Maintain Workflow: Monitor and enhance processes, set processing variables, observe control points and equipment, and manage personnel and resources. Implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures, address malfunctions, and foster cooperation within and between departments. Production Planning: Schedule and assign personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve issues, and report processing flow results to the team. Data Management: Compile, initiate, sort, and analyze production performance records and data. Respond to inquiries and requests for information. System and Procedure Development: Analyze operating practices, record-keeping systems, control forms, and budgetary and personnel requirements. Implement necessary changes. Safety and Cleanliness: Educate and direct personnel on lean principles, equipment use, and resource management. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Employee Management: Recruit, select, onboard, train, and mentor employees. Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating problems, identifying solutions, and recommending actions. Waste Reduction: Identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes and the work environment. Work Instruction Updates: Monitor, initiate, and communicate updates to work instructions. Efficiency and Ergonomics: Develop improvements in efficiency and ergonomics. Lean Problem-Solving: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify and solve problems, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelors Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience required OR 6 years in lieu of degree required Decision maker for daily activities that are guided by practice and production requirements with oversight from manager Possesses basic understanding of guidelines, procedures, and processes related to job field Supervises day-to-day work and participate in coaching and development of employees on the Technical and Business Support band in operations, manufacturing, and/or logistics Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to use tact and diplomacy to exchange information with employees Strong focus on safety Ability to handle complex issues in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in time and process management Expertise in quality control Team management and coaching skills Strong decision-making abilities Experience in production and strategic planning Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High level of analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and problem-solving concepts
