- Functional operations leader responsible for oversight of our manufacturing locations in the US, Canada and Mexico.
- Oversee and drive EH&S, quality management, service, manufacturing, capex, and long-term asset strategies and optimization.
- Set strategic objectives and create environment of accountability and support to achieve defined goals.
- Serve as strategic operations partner to provide the support to enable achievement of market and segment business plans.
Responsibilities Drive an accountable culture of relentless continuous improvement in Safety:

- Manage the deployment of global and facility safety strategies.
- Lead the cultural transformation of Safety as a Value with goal of ZERO incident culture.
- Build safety leadership at all levels through structured development and mentoring.
- Ensure organization has an effective EHS management system.
- Ensure organization and facilities operate in full compliance with both local laws / regulations and Neenah policies.
- Ensure Risk Management and Emergency Response protocols in alignment with corporate standards.
- Facilitate cross-facility communication and sharing to leverage best practices and support the success of the Global Operations Team.
Create a long-term manufacturing advantage by leading the development of our Operating System as well as ongoing implementation and refinement:
- Serve as leadership sponsor for the deployment of the Operating System into identified pilot facilities.
- Drive accountability and ensure execution against performance initiatives to drive culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate long term asset capacity and capability requirements necessary to meet service, quality and growth expectations of each business as well as improvement initiatives.
- Be an engaged owner regarding compliance to internal controls.
- Development of annual operating cost budgets for each reporting facility.
- Clear responsibility for delivering budgeted Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) as well as improvement efforts and priorities.
- Provide direction on maintenance approach & spending expectations.
Manage capital spending process to sustain operations, support growth initiatives and reduce costs while meeting financial expectations:
- Develop and implement a methodology and decision rights for determining the optimal sustaining spend by facility that demonstrates a continuous improvement approach.
- Within decision rights, be decision maker of capital project feasibility and value with requesting manufacturing professionals. Participate in all challenge sessions for meaningful operating capex spend requests.
- Prioritize various cost reduction projects across businesses to optimize spend and return.
- Develop long-term capital spending strategic plans that support business and corporate strategies and facilitate our 5-year planning process.
Closely collaborate with the Business Unit leaders to enable the success of the market and business goals.
- Serve as operational leader in the development and deployment of business enabling operational strategies aligned with Strategic Business plan.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain ensuring world class service to drive shared value with our customers.
- Execute on growth capital Cooperatively support the efficient management of working capital.
- Drive process and service to grow the business.
Maintain a strong relationship with labor unions and actively shape labor relations strategies for our manufacturing facilities. Enhance organizational development:
- Ensure the effective utilization and execution of the Talent & Performance Management platform supporting employee development and succession planning.
- Develop robust action plans around succession.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience
- Global perspective and international leadership
- Previous multi-facility accountability
- Experience working in a large matrix global organization
- Demonstrated success in translating strategic priorities into operational reality
- Demonstrated success in driving transformational organizational and cultural changes
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Up to 25% travel required
Preferred
- Manufacturing technology experience with clear preference on tapes, abrasives, labels, nettings, and other advanced materials
- Prior experience working with union leadership and work councils
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certification
