Department Manager

This position is primarily on the night shift schedule, to help oversee all aspects of shift production in assigned area.

Responsibilites:

• Direct and Supervise all aspects of shift production.
• Oversee staffing/scheduling for shift production.
• Assist in developing plant budgets and daily production requirement.
• Track attendance, vacation for department personnel.
• Conducts safety audits and ensures safety training is completed.
• Make decisions regarding production quality, employee realtions, and equipment breakdowns.

This position also assists in encouraging and promoting teamwork and continuous improvement efforts throughout the department. To help train all employees to complete their job in a safe and efficient manner. The position would also help in completing incident reports and investigations, to ensure Company policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of realted experience or training.
• 5+ years of experience in manufactring production environment preferred.
• Supervisory experience a plus.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, including their desing, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production equipment and processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
