Administrative Assistant (Hybrid)

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated administrative assistant to provide administrative support to the Securian Chief Investment Officer (CIO), the investment team under the CIO, and other asset management associates, as needed. To thrive in this role, you must be a self-starter, adaptable to change, possess exceptional attention to detail, and be able to effectively communicate with internal and external executives, while remaining approachable to fellow associates. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential in building a true partnership with the leaders and associates you support. Together, you will drive value, making a significant impact on the organization.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates the CIO's and other investment leaders' daily tasks and calendar. Gathers information for scheduling from a variety of sources and exercises judgement when approaching conflicting meetings. Suggests appropriate meeting times relative to other meetings and critical attendees. May act independently in determining priority/resolving conflicts.
  • Performs administrative duties that often require a high level of confidentiality, considerable skill, and knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures.
  • May conduct research for the CIO and other investment leaders; compiles and summarizes information and provides recommendations.
  • Prepares meeting materials by editing and organizing agenda, special reports, presentations, and meeting minutes with general direction from leader(s).
  • Prepares presentation materials to support CIO and investment leader presentations for internal investment update meetings, committee meetings, and board meetings.
  • Subject matter expert on asset management processes and procedures.
  • May coordinate events and functional projects in support of broader asset management needs.

Qualifications:

  • Professionalism with demonstrated administrative support experience, strong service orientation, communication, interpersonal and persuasive skills for effective interaction with various levels of people internally and externally.
  • Ability to take initiative, with a strong sense of urgency, assertiveness and willingness to accept a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently. Ability to independently plan ahead work/tasks to keep senior management and projects on schedule, despite numerous conflicting priorities and changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose correspondence and other documentation. Demonstrated ability to create effective presentation materials using PowerPoint.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and problem solving while working independently with critical, confidential and time sensitive information.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$20.91 - $36.54

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
