Compensation $26.00 to 32.00 per hour depending on experience.

*This range reflects Carestream's good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

Due to Internal Promotion, Carestream Manufacturing has an immediate need for an experienced hands-on Group Lead at its digital service and manufacturing facility located at 1049 Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14615. Core hours are 6:00AM to 2:30PM with OT prior and after. If you are in the Rochester, NY area and fit the required skills, please apply immediately for consideration.

Under the direction and with the consent of the first-line supervisor or other member of management leads plansand coordinates the activities of the other team members to effectively accomplish business objectives.
*Work involves the knowledge of all production areas.
*Monitoring the mfg. as scheduled, and the various operations.
*Team Leader coordinates workload ensuring safety, quality, and productivity of the equipment process.
*Directs, instructs, and works with the shift crew on start-up, operation, shutdown, troubleshooting, andexperimental work of all phases of the production processes and equipment.
*Monitors process and product quality.
*Responds to non-standard conditions to restore process to standard.

Position Responsibilities:

*Constantly checks the flow and quality of the products.
*Recognizes and analyzes issues, which may occur in the process.
*Determines the root cause of the issues as quickly as possible
*Implements corrective actions, and/or escalates appropriate issues following standard procedures and practices.
*Plans and directs crew work assignments, training, and breaks/lunch relief.
*Always considers that safety of the crew and equipment is of primary importance to the operation processes andis constantly alert for hazardous conditions
*Assist in planned shutdown events.
*Partners with the technical/engineering community to improve the process.
*Manage multiple tasks effectively, adapts quickly and effortlessly to changing business and working conditions,capable of effectively managing stress.
*Good written and oral communication skills.
*Desire to participate and contribute to a winning team environment.
*Commitment to working safely, and a willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodatebusiness needs.
*Seeks out and creates learning / training opportunities for self and others
*Deals with issues to create a win - win situation
*Immediately escalates personnel issues to supervision to address
*Models the Carestream values.
*Handles conflict constructively by listening to all ideas, brainstorming options, and agreeing to solutions that allcan support.
*Required to perform daily Lean activities such as Standard Work Audits.
*Communicate with all Supervisors to insure proper product flow and staffing needs.
*Escalates as needed to supervision and management.

Required Skills & Education:

* Education: HS Diploma or equivalent

* Years of manufacturing exp: 3 years in a manufacturing environment

* Prior experience leading projects, coordinating teams, or acting in a lead capacity (e.g., informal leadership, peer mentoring, or process ownership). Formal people management experience is not required, but demonstrated leadership capabilities are strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Essential Functions:
* Associate may be required to operate a powered industrial truck
* The job involve repetitive motion tasks (hands, arms, bending, twisting)
* The job require associate to do a significant amount of walking, climbing ladders, and push, pull, lift 50Lbs
* Understanding of the Stop Call Wait Process.
* Computer skills using Excel and other MS Office programs.

Desired Skills:

* Troubleshooting using knowledge of equipment manufacturing process.

Work around moving parts, manufacturing environment
