Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Hybrid with our client in Saint Louis, MO. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of industrial plastics processing equipment.
  • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is experienced with 3D modeling and design for manufacturing.
  • You'll be involved in projects from concept through production, working with custom machinery used in industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Create and revise 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing
  • Manage and organize design files using PDM (Product Data Management) software
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, machining, and electrical engineering
  • Participate in product improvement initiatives and custom machine builds
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, testing, and assembly.

Here's what you'll get:

  • Pay rate: $33.00-$38.00/Hour
  • Hours: 40 hours/week 1st Shift- 6:00 am-2:30 pm Monday to Friday
  • Length: Temp (6 months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design in a manufacturing or equipment-building environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SolidWorks and familiarity with PDM tools
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in machining, fabrication processes, and tolerancing
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with the design of custom machinery or plastics processing equipment
  • Understanding of mechanical systems such as pneumatics, gears, bearings, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
