System Analyst

Purpose of Job

Provides the company with the technical skills and knowledge to translate user requirements into compatible systems.

Activities and Responsibilities

30% 1. Designs and analyzes new and existing systems by consulting with user departments.

10% 2. Consults with operations and application staff regarding implementation concerns.

10% 3. Prepares specifications for programmers.

10% 4. Monitors existing systems to ensure correct operation.

05% 5. Develops user and systems documentation.

05% 6. Assigns work to programmers (work leader).

05% 7. Provides User education as necessary.

25% 8. Writes programs.

Education and Experience Requirements

This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.

Management Responsibilities:

This job provides input and makes recommendations into the actions for managing the work of others.
