POSITION PROFILE (Job Summary)
This position is responsible for the successful operation of Inland Transportation. This group is responsible for ensuring logistics with fleet, securement of rates and contract maintenance, coordinating operations with the terminal, as well as managing costs and benchmarking carrier performance.
Essential Job Responsibilities AND Results
- Responsible for providing quotes and reporting costs
- Create purchase orders
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ensure that Customer Service logistic requests are managed accurately and timely.
- Resolve customer and vendor issues.
- Assists in accessorial charge issues with vendor.
- Resolve various terminal issues in relation to fleet and logistics.
- Lead and participate in the notification, scheduling and transportation of loads and empties to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Produces and analyzes data for both internal and external clients.
- Participate in process refinement and enhancement.
- Participate in training others
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
- Associate degree preferred
- Four years' experience in the transportation industry

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Most work requires normal physical effort.
MANUAL DEXTERITY
Requires moderate use of personal computer (word processing and spreadsheets) for compiling reports, statistical data, composing memoranda and other similar documents.
The salary range is $38,300-67, 200 with a targeted compensation of $50,000-52,000.. Pay will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location and specific job duties.
