Overview
The Project Superintendent - Night Shift is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all sub- contractors, construction trades, labor crews to work in unity in order to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule. The Project Superintendent will have proven construction experience as a Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities. Night Shift Requirements: Hours may change based on business needs but will often be 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage night shift operations while ensuring site safety.
- Directly supervise tradespeople, equipment, and subcontractors on-site.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, public, and project personnel.
- Lead project planning, including schedules, equipment needs, trade assignments, lift plans, and safety plans.
- Foster an effective Safety culture on site; coordinate safety meetings and maintain overall responsibility for project safety.
- Ensure critical project information is accurately communicated to day shift teams.
- Adhere to labor and production schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Interpret project plans and specifications for quality control and compliance.
- Develop and submit four-week look-ahead schedules and "3-week look ahead schedule," using the baseline and master CPM schedule; regularly assist in the reforecast of remaining work.
- Comply with documentation requirements of the company and client; complete Daily Log Reports (Procore) and daily reports documenting workforce hours, equipment usage, completed work, and other key activities.
- Ensure all work meets QA/QC specifications and is completed to the highest standards; quality control of installed materials and equipment.
- Complete review and understanding of subcontractor's scope of work.
- Permit document administration and control.
- Control project access and traffic.
- Manage tool/equipment inventory, coordination, and rental.
- Coordinate, schedule, and maintain records of all project testing and certificates, including concrete and soil testing.
- Coordinate with PM, PCM, and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC, and reporting.
- Maintain "As Built" drawings for final submittal.
- Coordinate and schedule project inspections, including final inspection and proper close-out documentation.
- Site layout and control of benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- minimum 5 years' work experience as a construction Superintendent in Interiors projects.
- 10+ years of experience working as a Superintendent overseeing interiors preferred.
- OSHA 30 - preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of interior construction means and methods.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with teams, clients, and the public.
- Track record of positive safety record and evidence of prioritizing Safety on past projects.
- Experience in drywall partitions, specialty ceilings, EIFS, flooring, etc.
- Proficient in Blubeam, Procore, Word, and Excel.
- Must have project scheduling, planning, organization and document control
- Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
- OSHA Certification - In depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
- Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs and Document
In addition to the above listed minimum requirements, candidates who possess the following skills, experience, and capabilities may receive greater consideration during the evaluation process:
- 10+ years of experience as a construction Superintendent
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera (P6)
- Experience in projects greater than $20 million
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Willingness to travel through the US
