Position Description

Your Opportunity:

As a full-time Senior Requirements Engineer with TechSource, you'll have a crucial role supporting the development, integration, and sustainment of nuclear weapon systems for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC). You will collaborate closely with contractors, AFNWC staff, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and other key stakeholders to enhance the safety and effectiveness of our nuclear deterrent. You'll leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools to conduct analyses, manage requirements, and support weapon integration.

What You Will Do:


  • Conduct feasibility studies and gap analyses for AFNWC.
  • Evaluate technology solutions against program objectives.
  • Use MATE to assess system performance, cost, and risk.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses on requirements.
  • Summarize findings in reports.
  • Develop and maintain weapon systems requirements.
  • Ensure traceability and compliance throughout the project.
  • Optimize requirements for performance, cost, and risk.
  • Maintain requirements lineage aligned with objectives.
  • Review cybersecurity guidance for compliance.
  • Track requirement changes and document traceability.
  • Deliver qualification data to the Design Review and Acceptance Group (DRAAG).

What You Will Need:


  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) clearance, with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in requirements management and advanced studies.
  • Knowledge of nuclear weapon system development and sustainment.
  • Familiarity with MBSE concepts and MATE tools (e.g., Systems Modeling Language, MATLAB).
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements validation.
  • Proficiency in configuration management and weapon system integration.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity requirements for nuclear systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD and DOE regulations.
  • Ability to conduct analyses and evaluate solutions using MBSE.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to manage system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Expertise in reviewing cybersecurity guidance and providing input.
  • Experience delivering qualification data to the DRAAG.


Preferred


  • Experience with nuclear weapon systems or missile testing preferred.
  • Familiarity with air-delivered weapons and associated platforms.
