GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Coordinate, draw, assemble/manufacture, and install electrical components into prefabricated concrete products in accordance with applicable codes. Along with maintaining/repairing electrical equipment and fixtures at our facilities.

Salary range $40 - $48/ hr. Based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Coordinate with Electrical Contractors (External), Project Managers (Internal), and Production/Drafting Teams (Internal) to ensure that project schedule is met.
  • Create electrical piece ticket drawings for production based off external electrical drawings.
  • Ordering of electrical specific components to fabricate electrical assemblies.
  • Assemble electrical conduits/boxes to meet the requirements for precast components
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
  • Review Electrical mark up plans, Perform box counts, and coordinate with electrical contractor on projects.
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
  • Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.


EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED



  • Master electrician designation
  • Six months to one-year related experience
  • 8 hours/year of Continuing Education
  • Proficient in Bluebeam is strongly preferred
  • Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Know and understand safety procedures.
  • Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to lead, train, and coach other employees.
  • Must be motivated and self-driven to complete a task
  • Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently.
  • Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to lead a team with respect and dignity.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
  • Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
  • Must be able to use various hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day

  • Moderate to high exposure to production environment
