STS Engineering Solutions (STSES) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Reliability Engineer to join our Aircraft Programs & Technical Operations team. This is a hybrid role supporting remote work and in-person collaboration in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.

Position Summary

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the regulatory and operational compliance of customer aircraft through detailed data analysis, trend evaluation, and actionable reporting. This role plays a critical part in managing and improving reliability programs while shaping technical recommendations that ensure safe and efficient flight operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, code, and analyze maintenance data (PIREPs, non-routine findings, Shop Tear Down Reports, etc.)
  • Apply statistical modeling and trend analysis for reliability reporting and CAMP compliance
  • Monitor chronic aircraft issues and generate actionable insights through root cause analysis
  • Manage digital dashboards and develop performance metrics using data visualization tools
  • Generate FAA-mandated reports (CASS, SDRs, MRRs, MISRs) with high accuracy and consistency
  • Support Reliability Control Board meetings and safety risk management initiatives
  • Recommend and support maintenance program adjustments based on data trends
  • Coordinate and track multiple concurrent tasks and generate detailed project updates
  • Represent clients in industry reliability forums when needed
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts and additional tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data analysis; experience with Part 121 airline operations preferred
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Azure, or Tableau strongly preferred
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and web-based systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or currently authorized to work in the U.S. (STS does not sponsor visas)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and travel when required
  • High performer with a commitment to quality and confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in data analytics or aviation (or equivalent experience in Part 121 operations)
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance and reliability
  • Experience reading OEM and TCH manuals
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred
  • Experience with hands-on aircraft maintenance a plus
  • Previous participation in airline industry groups or working committees
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat DC or similar software
  • Ideally located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
