Seeking a communications professional to lead the development of strategic communications in support of the company strategy, critical initiatives and other business updates. This is an opportunity to join a team with a passion and ongoing focus on employee engagement, company culture and creative storytelling. The ideal candidate has experience writing for executives, is innovative and is an impeccable project manager. The position reports to the head of employee communications and is highly visible across the organization.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of communications plans that tell the company's story to employees and other key audiences

  • Write and edit a variety of executive communications, including speeches, presentations, talking points, blog posts, articles, internal memos and social media content, reflecting an understanding of their business, leadership style and unique voice

  • Ideate out-of-the-box, engaging and impactful methods for delivering messages, including mediums and formats beyond traditional written communications

  • Engage and partner with executives, subject matter experts and key internal stakeholders throughout the company, with a focus on building trusted relationships

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the business, and ensure communications are consistent with the company's brand voice

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in employee communications

  • Thrive in a collaborative team-based environment while also working independently

Specific Knowledge and Skills for Success:

  • Expert writing, storytelling, editing and proofreading skills

  • Strong executive presence, and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the company

  • Highly strategic and creative thinker

  • Skilled at exerting influence

  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously and adjusting as circumstances change

  • Serious commitment to excellence, quality and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Experience in executive communications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations agency and/or journalism

  • Must complete a writing test and be able to submit a strong portfolio of written work to illustrate storytelling and writing skills

  • Knowledge of AP style

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 -$100,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
