DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will provide technical assistance for all bureau staff to include arranging meetings and interviews, preparing agendas, scheduling appointments, screening internal visitors, and preparing all outgoing correspondence and reports. Additional administrative duties entail ordering supplies, processing expense vouchers for payments, and tracking compliance status to include all bureau assigned vehicles, approved travel requests, training, and visa reconciliation. You will also be responsible for coordinating the preparation of information technology (IT) requests and participating in various bureau staff meetings and committees. This professional must be able to exercise efficient judgement in order to prioritize assignments and meet workload deadlines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
