About the Opportunity:

Location: Morton, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in- process, and final aerospace components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, heights gauges, indictors, etc.)
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product conformance.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records in accordance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards
  • Identify and report nonconformances; assist with corrective actions as needed.
  • Receive incoming materials, verify packing list, and inspect parts for damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately log receipts and route material to appropriate departments.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring parts are packaged according to customer and regulatory specifications.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistic providers for timely delivery and pick up.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; required technical certification in inspection or quality preferred. Strong knowledge of inspection tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, related industry standards.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of product knowledge across all business lines.
  • Strong decision-making, multi-tasking and execution abilities under tight deadlines
  • Customer centric mentality, with ability to anticipate customer/supplier needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Working conditions typically include both office and shop environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Lifting to 20-30 lbs. may be occasionally required.

Compensation & Benefits: Health insurance, Dental, Vision, 401K

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $65,000.00-$85,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
