Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this position is responsible for Key Account Management (KAM) for selected key accounts as well as the development and implementation of a strategy to align the current and future AutoChem toolbox to the business drivers of our key customers. The primary functions include coordinating resources and developing key accounts through collaboration, cross-team communication, and technical solutions. This position requires an intimate knowledge of the chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Working with the sales team, developing and updating a comprehensive Strategic Farming Plan for F Account Focus Sites in the territory.
  • Proactively approaching and developing business at F sites by addressing technical needs and applications to uncover opportunity and grow revenue, which could be pre- or post-sales activities depending on business needs or as directed by sales leadership.
  • Identifying and developing sales opportunities and developing business for AutoChem products within the territory.
  • Developing and bringing sales opportunities to technical-close.
  • Providing technical consultative support during the sales process, including pre- and post-sales visits, onsite seminars, customer training, technical consulting, and AFTs.
  • Directing the transfer of knowledge and data from application feasibility studies, industrial and academic applications, and technical journals and publications to product management for development.
  • Identifying opportunities to execute SVS (Strategic Value Stories) with key contacts in F accounts.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field required. PhD preferred. MBA or other business degree is also an asset.
  • Five (5) years in sales, marketing laboratory, business developing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional experience within situ analytical technology, such as FTIR or Raman is preferred.
  • Experience in crystallization, process development, Process Analytical technology, pharmaceutical industry, specialty, chemicals, or particle characterization (FBRM, PVM).
  • Ability to travel between 50%-70% within the western territory depending on location.
