Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer, Senior

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure and cloud operations team, responsible for delivering and supporting modern, secure, and scalable DevOps solutions in a hybrid environment. This role involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, managing and optimizing Azure cloud services, implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools like ARM, Terraform, and Bicep, and ensuring system performance and security. The engineer will support containerized applications on AKS or Docker, provide Tier III/IV escalation for infrastructure and security issues, and participate in an on-call rotation. Ideal candidates will have strong scripting skills, deep familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, IIS), and a solid understanding of InfoSec best practices, along with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a complex, cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Manage Azure cloud resources, including configuring and monitoring VMs, App Services, networking, and storage.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Enforce security best practices in DevOps processes and Azure configurations.
  • Maintain source control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
  • Manage and support containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker.
  • Provide Tier III/IV support for network, Systems Engineering, InfoSec, and Web operations as part of the team that is responsible for cloud managing, cloud infrastructure, and Azure. Team responsibilities include networking, Server Operating Systems, network security, directory services, virtualization and storage using hyper-converged infrastructure system and application monitoring, deploying applications, and configuration management.
  • Be able to provide backup support for SharePoint Admin and BigFix.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, monitoring system alerts after hours, and taking corrective action or escalating when necessary
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Stay current with Azure and DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on Azure DevOps.
  • Required Certification: AZ 900, Preferred Certification AZ 104, or AZ 305, AZ 400
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and best practices.
  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud management using Azure Arc is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, tools, and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft and Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint collaboration, IIS, load-balancing and high-availability architectures, and public web hosting
  • Solid understanding of InfoSec processes, technologies, and tools
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills


Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
