The Software Product Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end success of our software products, from concept to launch. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision:
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle-from ideation and planning to launch and continuous improvement.
- Create detailed product documentation, including specifications, user stories, and workflows.
- Track product performance and define success metrics through KPIs and user feedback.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure effective execution and alignment.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates, managing expectations, and incorporating feedback.
Customer-Centric Approach:
- Engage with customers and users to uncover needs, pain points, and improvement areas.
- Translate user insights into actionable requirements and product enhancements.
- Advocate for user experience (UX) and collaborate with design teams to ensure the product delivers a seamless, user-focused experience.
Project Execution:
- Define and manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and remove blockers to keep projects on track.
- Confirm that deliverables satisfy acceptance criteria and provide value aligned with user needs and business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams to clearly translate requirements and address challenges efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong cross-team partnerships that drive shared responsibility and collective commitment to product goals.
- Manage competing priorities by balancing strategic business goals with team capacity and technical limitations.
Skills & Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5-7+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on software or digital products
Skills:
- Strong background in Agile methodologies and product development best practices.
- Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle, from strategy to delivery and optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, experienced in aligning varied stakeholders and driving collaborative efforts across teams
Technical Skills:
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and analytics tools.
- Proficient in product management tools such as Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and usability testing, complemented by practical experience using design tools such as Figma to create and collaborate on wireframes and prototypes.
- Understanding of API concepts and foundational software architecture principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Other:
- Satisfactory completion of criminal background check, meeting requirements set forth by the company as well as TSA (as required by location)
- Flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and be on call
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
