Who we are looking for:

Cornerstone Home Lending is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join our team! This professional will work directly with correspondent investors to research what documentation will meet any suspended loan conditions and work to obtain it from either the production team, directly from the source, etc. In addition, this professional will log the conditions of suspended loans into our LOS.

Key Responsibilities:





  • Review and process purchase mortgage loan files for completeness and accuracy.



  • Ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines for purchase transactions.



  • Collaborate with loan officers, processors, underwriters, closing agents, and real estate professionals to gather and verify documentation.



  • Monitor and track deadlines, contingencies, and key milestones throughout the purchase loan process.



  • Clear conditions and prepare files for closing in a timely manner.





  • Ensure all required documents (e.g., sales contract, title work, insurance, appraisal) are complete and properly executed.



  • Coordinate with closing and funding departments to ensure timely disbursement.



  • Maintain accurate loan file records in the loan origination system (LOS).



  • Assist with post-closing issues or follow-ups as needed.





What you'll need to be successful:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of previous Mortgage experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of purchase / review requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with personal computer equipment
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently, and to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent math skills
