We have an opening for a Technician Foreman. The Technician Foreman will support the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent by providing supervisory assistance to all on-site laborers and temporary employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must acquire general knowledge of all project specific plans and specifications.
  • Request and direct needed laborers and temporary positions to ensure that a clean, safe and organized worksite is maintained.
  • Supervise Hourigan on-site employees as designated by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
  • Provide coordinated management of onsite stored materials to avoid obstructions to Subcontractors' progress and the project's overall completion schedule.
  • Receive materials on job site and direct their organized storage.
  • Notify the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of any concerns regarding construction activities for progress, quality, safety and coordination with other trades.
  • Open and close job site to all workers as directed by Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
  • Determine quantity and type of materials, equipment and tools required to perform work as directed by Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
  • Enforce all required Hourigan on-site Safety procedures
  • Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of commercial construction means and methods and industry practices
  • Industry Experience: 3+ years preferred.
  • Must be able to provide, operate, and maintain construction tools in a safe and proper manner
  • Willing to learn how to read construction drawings and gain experience with construction management software, specifically Procore, and Bluebeam
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
