About this opportnity

We're seeking a Social Media and Community Management Coordinator to help grow and engage the Herman Miller Gaming (HMG) community. Reporting to the Gaming, Marketing Lead you'll be a key member of the HMG Marketing Team, responsible for building brand presence and community engagement across our owned social platforms.

In this role, you'll:

  • Monitor social and cultural trends to identify engagement opportunities.

  • Launch listening campaigns and provide insights to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Maintain and refine keyword lists to support proactive community engagement.

  • Develop and apply community engagement guidelines; respond to comments and identify key audience segments.

  • Build positive relationships with community members, influencers, and industry professionals.

  • Create and collaborate on content tailored for each platform (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest); curate user-generated content.

  • Manage daily publishing and engagement across social channels.

  • Support campaign ideation, influencer outreach, and live event coverage.

  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and voice.

  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Sprinklr, Curalate, and CreatorIQ to analyze performance and generate insights.

  • Present recommendations to improve content, engagement, and community growth.

Requirements

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A strong interest in gaming, esports and video gaming culture.

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience managing social media for brands, ideally in a fast-paced or gaming-related environment.

  • Familiarity with enterprise-level social media tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Curalate, CreatorIQ).

  • The ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.

  • A deep understanding of social media trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Cultural awareness and the ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Attention to detail in grammar, tone, and messaging.

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience creating social-first content from concept to execution.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).

  • Photography and videography skills.
