The Job at a Glance

As a recycling technician you will be responsible for handling recycling and waste removal tasks as well as taking care of other housekeeping duties. By performing these important tasks regularly, the recycling technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our Distribution Center.

A Typical Day

• Collecting cardboard from all over the facility and feeding it into a centralized baler
• Operating industrial floor sweeper and scrubber equipment
• Operating forklift, walkie-riders and other powered equipment needed to do the work
• Gathering and disposing of trash inside and outside of the building
• Monitoring conditions of equipment and grounds
• Performing some ground maintenance such as sweeping walkways, vacuuming, etc.
• Backing up office custodians in the event of vacation or missed time
• Preparing the facility for events and meetings
• Taking part in the projects assigned by the Facility Manager

To Land This Opportunity

• You're a motivated self-starter with a collaborative attitude
• You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• You are comfortable working with operation manuals for cleaning equipment
• You are able to work Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM
• You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products in combination at any given time
• You are vehicle certified or willing to become vehicle certified
• You're an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• You enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment with varying temperatures and sounds

About Your Future Team

The salary range for this role is $36,774.40 - $40,251.27 annually ($17.70 - $19.35 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
