Summary: In this position, you will lead a team of Data Analysts in a government contract with a federal law enforcement agency's Asset Forfeiture program.

Active Public Trust security clearance/or ability to attain Public Trust clearance required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Compass Strategy Solutions (CSS) requires Lead Data Analyst in Washington DC area to support a federal law enforcement entity in their Asset Seizure and Forfeiture program.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee the team of Data Analysts.
  • Review tasks assigned to data analysts for quality assurance and ensures timely
  • submission of deliverables to the Government.
  • Ensure that all seizure data is timely and accurately loaded.
  • Ensure that all seizures are advertised and noticed within 60 days of seizure.
  • Ensure that all petition and claim receipt letters are timely drafted, submitted, and mailed.
  • Ensure that all proclamations are timely submitted to the Government for review.
  • Ensure that all seizure files are timely submitted for closure to the Government.
  • Submit the weekly advertisement to forfeiture.gov.
  • Responsible for training new hires.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual status reports.
  • Other duties as mission needed and within the scope of this contract position requirements.

Must also meet all the requirements for experience required by a subordinate Data Analyst position:
  • Input data extract/retrieve data and run required reports in the asset tracking system Government database.
  • Prepare advertising orders and seizure notice letters for all administrative forfeiture actions once the Probable Cause Statement is returned concurred from the Office of Chief Counsel.
  • Track all letters/documents sent via commercial carrier to ensure that tracking is captured.
  • Prepare petition receipt letters and investigation memos, as well as claim letters upon receipt of filed petitions or claims.
  • Review the file for declaration of administrative forfeiture, ensuring that all interested parties were successfully noticed and that the internet advertisement was posted to forfeiture.gov.
  • Create and send miscellaneous letters as needed using templates provided by the Government.
  • Reconcile inconsistencies in the type or substance of the data entered into the Government database by contractor personnel.
  • Maintain physical and electronic seizure files, reconciling inconsistencies, gathering and organizing documentation in the seizure file.
  • Analyze and interpret documentation in the seizure file to ensure that seizure and asset data is entered correctly into the Government database.
  • Report findings of errors or inconsistencies in seizure files or data entered in the Government database to the Government verbally or in writing.
  • Review seizure files prior to closing to ensure that the file is complete and accurate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Two years of Asset Forfeiture experience plus one year of management experience.
