Duties and Responsibilities |
Position Summary:
The School of Law Admissions and Scholarship Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing enrollment pathways, recruitment, admissions, and scholarship strategies for the law school's J.D. and non-J.D. programs. The office closely partners with the Office of the Dean to ensure alignment with School of Law and University priorities and American Bar Association (
ABA) standards. The work of the office is led by the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Pathway Initiatives and is executed by two specialized enrollment teams - the J.D. Enrollment Team and Non-J.D. Enrollment Team. The teams work in close collaboration with Academic Program Directors and faculty admissions committees.
The Sr. Enrollment Advisor supports the office's efforts to expand prospective student pathways for the law school's J.D. and non-J.D. graduate and online programs, proactively promotes the conversion of prospects to applicants, actively support applicants through to application completion, and assists with new student onboarding and orientation. This role also builds effective cross organizational and external relationships, supports the expansion and maintenance of existing pathways, and creates a successful path of entry that fosters an environment where our new students are welcomed and fully supported.
All staff in the Law School report to the Associate Dean for Administration. Additionally, this position is accountable to the Law School's Director for Post- and Non-J.D. Enrollment, Assistant Dean for Admissions and Pathway Initiatives, and Academic Program Directors.
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Guides and nurtures students during the application cycle. Advises prospective students, manages the incomplete application process, and connects admitted students with academic program directors, advisors, and other relevant faculty, staff, and offices to encourage enrollment.
- Reviews application files, screens candidates for appropriateness, guides eligible candidates through application process, proactively communicates with and prospects and applicants to encourage application completion.
- Identifies any trends in applicant pool to assist with recruitment, conversion, and matriculation.
- Assists with the development, implementation, assessment, and continual improvement of successful recruitment and communication plans to enroll a qualified and diverse incoming class. Recruitment activities include developing recruitment networks, assisting in planning and representing Loyola at internal and external recruitment events, open houses, information sessions, conferences and meetings, and individual advising appointments. Communication activities include developing and maintaining prospect-generating and fulfillment materials, websites, and communication flow and assisting in crafting outreach strategies and messaging.
- Assists in overseeing and guiding prospective applicants through application pipeline.
- Advises prospective students/applicants on program options and the application process and timeline.
- Represents the School of Law at recruitment events.
- Assists with the onboarding and orientation of admitted students to encourage retention and foster a sense of belonging and support.
- As directed, works with the University Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) for recruitment and admission issues, including communication with GPEM staff to make sure admitted students receive program registration and login information.
- Uses University and Law School admissions systems and CRMs to provide enrollment data and enrollment reports. Provides feedback for meeting enrollment goals based on data.
- Provides technical support to the Program Directors and other faculty and staff in the use of the enrollment systems.
- Assists in the creation and implementation of strategies to achieve specifically delineated goals.
- Works collaboratively across the Law School.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications |
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, telephone skills, and the ability to tactfully interact with individuals at various levels throughout the university.
- Collaborative and accountable.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2-3 years of higher education student enrollment experience.
