Responsibilities

The Primary Therapist, OCD conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, facilitates individual, family, and group therapies, to clients with primary OCD and Anxiety Disorders. This position works with in the framework of Exposure Response & Prevention (ERP) and Newport's clinical model and provides clinical support to the program as needed.
  • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions in alignment with Newport Healthcare's clinical model and ERP.
  • Lead daily individual exposure sessions, along with weekly individual and family therapy sessions.
  • Carry out risk and OCD assessments upon admission, and create a personalized safety plan, as well as a biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within specified timelines.
  • Collaborate with the client's treatment team to coordinate treatment goals and services, including 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, contact notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to established standards.
  • Facilitate Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups.
  • Perform ongoing risk or crisis assessments and provide necessary intervention and management.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Accurately enter data into Outlook (email and calendar), EMR, and online learning platforms.
  • Serve as the primary clinical contact for families, maintaining proactive communication.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and conferences to represent Newport Healthcare as required.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided required.
  • OCD expereince preferred, training can be provided.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents required.
  • Experience with mental health, OCD and anxiety disorders, preferred.
  • Willingness to be trained in ERP required.

Compensation for this role ranges from $32.21-$44.42 per hour depending on education and experience.
