The opportunity Job Summary: Southern New Hampshire University's Office of Sustainability is seeking students who are interested in supporting the sustainability goals, programs, and initiatives campus wide. You will be required to work on the Good Stuff campaign which extends a week after the school year ends, and the week of December 25. We are currently seeking one student to fill our Marketing and Engagement opening. In this role, you will use your skills in Canva, Adobe, and social media content creation to design marketing materials and digital communications that promote engagement in events for learners, staff, and faculty. Responsibilities include creating event posters, digital communications, and developing weekly content for social media platforms. You will gain valuable experience in professional marketing, communication, and administrative operations, while building essential skills aligned with the NACE Career Readiness Competencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
- Design and implement mission-aligned marketing materials that include lawn signs, posters, digital communications, and any other marketing needs identified.
- NACE Competency: Critical Thinking, Leadership
- Participate as a peer ambassador at campus events such as the Involvement Fair, Job Fair, Opening Weekend, and other marketing and outreach opportunities. Communicate the Office's mission and programming with enthusiasm and professionalism.

- Participate in ongoing professional training and reflection to enhance knowledge sustainability and apply this learning to further the mission of the center.

- Support digital outreach and engagement efforts, which may include providing content for submission to social media platforms, creating promotional content, and contributing to event marketing tasks.
- NACE Competency: Technology, Communication
- Utilize office technologies and tools to support day-to-day operations, including email platforms, shared drives, scheduling software, printing/copying systems, and data entry in spreadsheets or online forms.

Qualifications:
- Good Sense of Humor
- Solid knowledge of Canva, photo editing (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom), video editing software (i.e. Premier Pro, Aftereffects, Capcut)
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Open to professional growth and development
- Work-study eligible
- Driver's license preferred
- Flexibility, creativity, maturity in judgment and ability to work with a wide variety of people (colleagues, staff, faculty, community members)
- Must be in good conduct standing at the time of hire and throughout employment. Past minor infractions may not disqualify a candidate but a pattern of concerning behavior (repeated violations, bias-related incidents, or violence) may impact employment.
- Must be enrolled in classes
Work Hours:
- Various shifts are available and are typically between the hours of 9:00am and 8:00pm. Individual schedules are developed in tandem with departmental needs and student availability.
- It is expected that all individuals will attend regular staff meetings as part of their assigned hours (biweekly team meeting, various events including Good Stuff in the Winter and Spring, Graduation ceremonies, Arboretum After Dark in October and any other programming that requires the whole team to successfully run events).

Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
