As a Sr Network Engineer, you will analyze existing network infrastructure to identify improvement opportunities, conduct feasibility and cost studies, and design solutions that support evolving business requirements. You'll define network architecture-covering LAN/WAN deployments, contingency planning, monitoring, and recovery strategies-while identifying required hardware, software, and services to meet capacity and performance demands. Additionally, you will configure and troubleshoot network devices, oversee implementation processes, and conduct research on emerging technologies, traffic patterns, and potential security risks to ensure robust, scalable, and secure enterprise networks.

What you'll do:



  • Analyzes existing networks and equipment and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Develops solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies.
  • Defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand.
  • Identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization.
  • Configures various network devices and services.
  • Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes.
  • Conducts various research(es) and analysis regarding new technology, network traffic, potential security risk, etc.
  • Recommends, implements, and maintains network architectures (LAN and WAN).


What you'll need to succeed:



  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • 6-9 years experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Network Certified Associate (JNCIA), or Juniper Certified Network Professional (JCNP)
  • Experience working on US Army Networks
  • Experience working with CISCO and Juniper solutions
  • Have an understanding of Layer 2 Technologies


SALARY RANGE: $101,000 - $135,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:



  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:


    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
