Summary
Redwire is seeking a Sr. Project Manager based in the Denver, CO area to support multiple programs. This is considered a predominately onsite role, based out of our Littleton, CO. office. This position is responsible for program leadership and direction ensuring successful execution consistent with the budget, schedule, scope, technical requirements, and contract deliverables. They will lead large projects with high levels of risk and scope complexity. You must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities


  • Develop project budgets, detailed schedules and associated spend plans and provide monthly variance reporting on ETC and EAC.
  • Provide revenue forecasts commensurate with project schedule, material receipts, build and test activity.
  • Successfully manage large-scale projects to meet deliverables - timelines, budgets, customer needs.
  • Execute projects in accordance with internal QMS and AS9100 requirements.
  • Identifies and addresses project technical and programmatic problems and collaborates with team to recommend resolution to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assists with the development of proposal costs, BOEs and schedules.
  • Manages risk identification and mitigation; proactively prepares for potential project issues and scope creep.
  • May be required to manage multiple subcontractors and other technical partners in the pursuit of project objectives.
  • Create and manage daily/weekly/monthly milestones.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and leaders to enable successful execution of state-of-the-art projects from beginning to end.


Ideal Experience


  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or other technical field.
  • Minimum of 12 years as technical project manager leading mechanical and electromechanical hardware development and builds, with 4 or more years of experience as a manager or leader.
  • Extensive experience leading multi-functional engineering teams through project design and manufacturing phases.
  • Experience working with aerospace engineering/space engineering/manufacturing and software efforts or other relevant engineering work in the industry.
  • Must have experience building and managing complex projects and updating schedules in Microsoft Project (advanced to expert level user preferred).
  • Must have extensive Microsoft Excel experience, with experience managing complex workbooks for data entry and report extraction.
  • Must be willing to travel as required - 25%.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations.


Desired Skills


  • Certification received through PMI or other similar organization focused on recognition of expertise in Project Management (CAPM, DASM, CSM, etc.)
  • Able to perform with little to no management oversite, may mentor other less experienced Project Managers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be able to lead engineering team through problem solving process through to resolution implementation.
  • 12 or more years program management experience in space environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software suite, including Project and SharePoint
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to performance schedule and determine areas requiring upper-management attention.
  • Active TS-SCI security clearance.
  • Lean process experience or six-sigma certification.

Pay Range

$162,000 - $210,000/yr.
How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
