Gauge Control Specialist

Position Description

Calibrates, maintains and approves measuring devices.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Writes user instructions and trains and audits employees on use of gauges.
  2. Reviews product drawings and draws sketches for new or revised gauges.
  3. Maintains inventories and records of gauges, and prepares gauge lists.
  4. Performs temporary measurement setups.
  5. Processes and follows up on equipment orders and services
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Ability to give attention to detail and maintain process quality
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
High School diploma
General Education Degree
Experience Requirements
  • Previous Quality experience preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
Generally good working conditions.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
