Position Purpose
The Director of Digital Experience is responsible for transforming OpenSky's digital touchpoints into a cohesive, high-performing growth engine. This role exists to unify the customer journey across our website, onboarding funnel, and MarTech stack-ensuring that each step reflects our brand promise and drives measurable business outcomes. By integrating strategy, optimization, and tooling into a single function, the Head of Digital Experience ensures OpenSky can scale efficiently, test continuously, and convert consistently.

This role leads the digital product vision for OpenSky and related growth experiences. It owns the conversion funnel, MarTech roadmap, and performance strategy for our website, working at the intersection of design, product, engineering, analytics, and marketing.

This is not just a web management role-it is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring the digital experience fuels acquisition, supports lifecycle marketing, and creates a frictionless customer path to credit empowerment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Digital Experience Strategy

    • Own the digital experience as a product-defining the roadmap, success metrics, and feature backlog for the website and application funnel.
    • Operate with a product lifecycle mindset: discovery, design, build, test, measure, iterate.
    • Lead cross-functional squads including design, content, engineering, and analytics to deliver enhancements that drive conversion and engagement.
    • Set vision for digital platform capabilities, including personalization, modular content, and UX infrastructure.
    • Translate business objectives (growth, efficiency, segment strategy) into digital priorities-balancing short-term lifts with long-term platform scalability.
    • Partner with Acquisition, Product, and Lifecycle teams to ensure digital UX aligns with customer personas and stages of the funnel.
    • Lead quarterly planning cycles for digital roadmap alignment across marketing, product, and engineering.

  • Conversion Optimization & Experimentation

    • Build and own a rigorous experimentation program across the website and application funnel to optimize for conversion and engagement.
    • Lead test planning: from hypothesis formation and variant design to statistical analysis and learning rollups.
    • Drive test velocity: set benchmarks for number of tests/month, test types (CRO, UX, offer), and expected impact.
    • Implement and manage CRO tools (e.g., Webflow Optimize) and develop clear documentation standards for test insights.
    • Coordinate with UX/UI, copy, and engineering teams to rapidly iterate on winning variants.
    • Apply experimentation not just to layout changes, but to sequencing, messaging, and incentive structures that impact conversion rates.

  • MarTech & Tooling Ownership

    • Own the marketing technology stack with a focus on integration, performance, and usability across teams.
    • Prioritize tools and integrations that extend platform capabilities, enable self-service, and reduce engineering dependency.
    • Act as product owner for MarTech systems, defining user stories, functional requirements, and implementation paths.
    • Partner with Platform Manager, Analytics, and Engineering teams to maintain data integrity, event tagging, and consent management.
    • Evaluate and onboard new tools where appropriate; ensure MarTech aligns with broader growth, compliance, and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain stack documentation, governance policies, and role-based access controls.

  • Website & Funnel Performance

    • Own end-to-end performance of openskycc.com-from top-of-funnel content to final application submission and click-to-deposit.
    • Build and maintain dashboards that visualize funnel health and friction points for internal stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with design and engineering to prioritize technical and UX enhancements (e.g., lazy loading, content hierarchy, responsive design).
    • Ensure mobile-first optimization and WCAG accessibility compliance.
    • Partner with SEO and content teams to ensure technical SEO foundations are met and that landing pages are indexable and conversion-oriented.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
