Job Summary

Alys Beach a division of EBSCO Industries, is seeking an experienced Activities Manager. This position will be based at The Silva, Alys Beach's newest homeowner and guest amenity. The Activities Manager is responsible for organizing, planning and providing supervision of recreational activities, events, and other related programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and programming for all activities at The Silva, including but not limited to kids programs, family activities, poolside engagement, games, crafts, classes, and other experiences.
  • Develop and execute a dynamic monthly calendar of events and activities tailored to both homeowners and guests, ensuring alignment with the Alys Beach brand and community standards.
  • Supervise and schedule activities staff, provide training, daily leadership, task delegation, and performance oversight.
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as Food & Beverage, Marketing, Events, Security and Guest Services to deliver seamless, integrated experiences.
  • Prepare activity guides, event signage, and promotional content in partnership with the Marketing team; manage updates across digital platforms and internal communications.
  • Lead on-site execution of programs, ensuring spaces are properly staged, supplies are prepared, and safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence during peak times and special events, actively engaging with families and guests to enhance their experience.
  • Monitor all recreational and activity areas for cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence; proactively report or address any maintenance concerns.
  • Manage department inventory, including recreational equipment, games and other merchandise. Place orders and track usage as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to Alys Beach standards in all programming, associate behavior, and guest interactions.
  • Track participation metrics and program feedback; provide reports and recommendations to leadership.
  • Uphold all company policies, safety protocols, and service expectations.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the evolving needs of The Silva and the Alys Beach community.
  • Act as an extension of the Alys Beach brand.
Job Requirements
  • 3 to 6 years' relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organizational skills- Ability to be organized in a changing environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Essential Job Function
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to lift to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to sun, heat, humidity, rain, and cold
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with vendors, clients, guests, and co-workers both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of stress
