The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati is searching for two tenure-track faculty members in speech-language pathology who will contribute to the department's research, teaching, and service missions. These are 9-month positions beginning in Fall of 2026 with rank (assistant, associate, full professor) commensurate with experience. The Department seeks faculty with expertise in the following areas of speech-language pathology: cognitive disorders, speech/acoustics, swallowing, and/or voice. We also welcome applicants with expertise in transdisciplinary areas relevant to speech, language, and hearing sciences, including: disability policy and rights, artificial intelligence, community-based participatory research, and/or translational research/implementation science. Faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders benefit from rich collaborative environments both within and beyond the University of Cincinnati. Ongoing partnerships include local leaders in healthcare and education, such as Cincinnati Public Schools, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and UC Health. Within the university, faculty have opportunities to collaborate across colleges and research centers, including the College of Medicine and its affiliated laboratories such as the Dysphagia Rehabilitation Laboratory, the Translational NeuroTrauma (TNT) Lab, and the UC Neurorecovery Laboratory. Interdisciplinary partnerships are also supported with faculty in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, including through the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center.
