Overview

The SBA Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a developed and extensive Government Guarantee Lending loan portfolio of SBA and USDA loans. This position will work with Business Development Officers, Underwriters and customers to gather relevant needed information, prepare documents, obtain financial statements and prepare loan account reviews.

Responsibilities

    Responsible to be the primary account manager for certain SBA Department-originated SBA loan and deposit relationships
  • Perform proper financial analysis as required by Bank and SBA
  • Perform account management, including annual reviews, servicing requests, site visits, downgrades, problem loan resolution up to point of litigation and/or liquidation
  • Serve as the primary account servicing resource for certain geographic bankers in their SBA account servicing responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect past due loans assigned
  • Maintain and prepare SBA loan portfolio reporting as required by SBA Management
  • Actively manage loan exceptions for the Bank's SBA/USDA loan portfolio including working to obtain requisite documents from borrowers and guarantors
  • Cross sell other bank products and services to clients
  • Will be involved in occasional community activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • At least 3 years of commercial loan support, lending, credit, special asset, and/or SBA background (lending, account management, packaging and closing, and/or underwriting)
  • Ability to gain, maintain and apply advanced SBA SOP knowledge (SOP's 50 10 and 50 57)
  • Ability to assess financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents to evaluate Borrower(s) and Guarantor(s) financial condition/cash flow
  • Proficiency using software to produce work product, including Excel and Word. nCino experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain reasonable pace to complete assignments on time
  • Effectively communicate with SBA/USDA personnel, bank legal representatives, officers, and senior management
  • Client service orientation
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
