* Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards

* Gain deep understanding of products and translate complex information into comprehensive, accurate, and standards compliant content.

* Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success

Responsibilities:

* Examine hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection, interpret specifications/manuals, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics to create documentation

* Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation

Required:

* Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree

* One or more years of experience as an effective technical writer

* Fluent verbal and written English

* Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter

* Experience in working with engineers to improve understanding, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams

* Ability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously

Preferred skills and qualifications:

* Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication)

Education

* Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree
