Overview

Academic Technology & Media Coordinator (ATMC)

SUMMARY

    This position is the first point of contact for students and associates regarding learning resources, media, and technology on campus.
  • The Academic Technology and Media Coordinator manages all aspects of Learning Resource Center and provides initial support for computing technology and equipment and other digital resources used on campus and in the classroom.
  • All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde's
  • Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity,
    teamwork, customer service, and achievement.


Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain Learning Resource Center hours of operation
  • Manage inventory of Learning Resource Center including
  • Maintain software on student facing computers
  • Assist students with basic study skills, time management, and other academic skills
  • Attend orientation for new students to introduce the Learning Resource Center
  • Assist locally with launch, training and support for digital learning materials
  • Provide initial technical support to all users of technology on campus and resolve issues as when possible
  • Coordinate with the IT Department at Campus Support Center for resolution on more complex issues
  • Record, track, and effectively communicate all technology related information
  • Attend regularly scheduled calls led by Campus Support Center IT and/or Academic department
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED (required); Education or IT degree preferred
  • Knowledge of library systems and procedures
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows and Office products
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and effectively communicate findings to associates with varying

levels of technical expertise

  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware and networking concepts
  • Working knowledge of online Learning Management Systems, Canvas preferred

Working knowledge of online Learning Management Systems, with Canvas preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support students and faculty

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

OTHER COMMENTS/REQUIREMENTS

This role is required to occasionally work after-hours or weekends as necessary to perform tasks that may otherwise cause a disruption

  • Must occasionally work after-hours or weekends as necessary to minimize disruption to campus activities
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties common to materials handling
