Staffmark is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Alexandria, MN with a well-established production facility known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and employee longevity.

Hours & Pay:



  • Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
  • Pay: $19.00 - $22.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
  • Training: Typically begins on 1st shift for the first week



What You'll Be Doing:



  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload parts and ensure finished components meet precise specifications
  • Read blueprints and manufacturing orders
  • Perform detailed inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
  • Assist with secondary machine shop duties (deburring, tumbling, packing, etc.)
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean
  • Load programs into CMM machines and ensure inspection accuracy
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and QRM
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate across shifts

Qualifications:



  • Machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, or CMM machines is a plus
  • Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to cross-train and grow within the shop
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
