Chicago - Corporate Mid to Senior-Level Associates
  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Lateral Associate
  • Corporate

The Corporate Group of the Chicago office is seeking mid-level and senior associates (Class of 2021-2017) with experience in mergers & acquisitions and other general corporate transactional matters. Experience managing the full lifecycle of a deal is a plus. A successful candidate must have a passion for providing high quality work product and service to our clients.

Skadden's Corporate Group represents and advises clients in a wide variety of transactional and other corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, private equity investments, and joint ventures. Our attorneys regularly counsel companies in connection with corporate governance, takeover preparedness and other corporate matters that do not involve pending mergers and acquisitions.

The starting base salary for this Chicago position is expected to be between $310,000 - $435,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Associates who join Skadden laterally participate in an enhanced mentor program, which specifically focuses on the unique needs experienced attorneys face during professional transitions.

These efforts, along with our professional development and other Skadden benefits, including a hybrid work model*, offer a dynamic environment where all can shape their own career trajectories while contributing to groundbreaking legal work. We also have an extensive pro bono program that allows attorneys to devote, and receive credit for, time for myriad causes that spark their interests and matches those interests with the legal needs in the community.

*Our current hybrid work model consists of working Monday through Thursday in the office. Attorneys also receive the opportunity to work remotely for specified periods throughout the year.
