This is accomplished by providing state of the art care to our patients, providing the finest quality surgical education to our fellows, residents, and students, improving the skills and knowledge of our surgical colleagues through continuing education programs, and expanding surgical knowledge through our clinical and basic science research programs. We have open positions in multiple services lines including Cardiovascular, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Women's and General Surgery. Location: University of Oklahoma Medical Center Shift: Full-Time, Multiple Shifts within all Surgical Service Lines General Description: Under immediate to general supervision, provides technical assistance in the capacity of a surgical (scrub) technician in an operating room, labor and delivery or other facility performing surgical procedures. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduation from an accredited school/program for Surgical Technicians OR Experience: 0-3 year of scrub technician experience for the completion of training. Eligible to sit for the national exam by the Association of Surgical Technicians. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Surgical Tech Certified: Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduation from an accredited school/program for Surgical Technicians OR Experience: 0-4 years of relevant experience. Eligible to sit for the national exam by the Association of Surgical Technicians. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Service line competency achievement.
