Position Summary: (General statements regarding the overall objective of the position) The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing a diverse array of operational responsibilities to ensure the timely and compliant servicing of commercial loans. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of service delivery, encompassing tasks such as quality control, meticulous management of insurance and property taxes, member assistance, comprehensive reporting, transaction processing, and clerical support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished, not how it must be done; include supervision or management responsibilities, quality and quantity standards, physical, mental, and perceptual functions of the job) Maintains current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations; stays updated on TDECU documentation and product requirements. Performs quality control review of closed and booked commercial loans to ensure accurate translation into the Core system based on loan documentation and approval. Identifies exceptions in commercial loan approval and closing processes, determines root causes, recommends corrective actions to resolve deficiencies, and implements operational improvements to reduce exceptions. Prepares and presents detailed exception reports to management, highlighting errors and deficiencies, and collaborates on implementing corrective measures. Ensures compliance for property tax and insurance tracking programs by initiating communication with borrowers regarding non-compliance, implementing adjustments for property tax escrow and insurance escrow, and executing the establishment, reconciliation, refund processing, and disbursement of escrow accounts. Prepares and reviews weekly delinquency and loans maturing reports, communicating with loan officers, and portfolio managers concerning findings. Performs administrative tasks such as core system account updates, release of liens, UCC renewals and terminations, and escrow processing. Processes member transactions and service requests such as payments, payment corrections, address changes, statements, and general research. Performs audits of the commercial real estate loans eligible for pledge to the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB). Manages documentation stacking and file requirements set by the FHLB. Responsible for meeting minutes for various department meetings.
