SUMMARY:

The bank teller is the face of ATC and responsible for rendering a high standard of service to all customers. Being able to interact with customers and colleagues in a pleasant, professional manner, while conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the customers' needs is of the utmost importance. The Head Teller maintains additional supervisory responsibilities in overseeing tellers and teller operations. Applicants must be willing to perform all necessary job functions and uphold all customer confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all aspects of teller responsibilities and duties.

Solid understanding of ATC products and services.

Accurately balances, manages, and maintains vault cash and ATM, including the ordering and selling of branch cash.

Supervises the teller line with minimal branch management oversight.

Assists in the training of new tellers.

Provides guidance to tellers in complex transactions and balancing.

Ensures teller stations are properly supplied.

Ability to cross-sell ATC products and services.

Follows all security procedures and maintains excellent teller line security.

Solid understanding of emergency procedures (fires, robberies, etc.)

Assists in teller balancing and daily branch proof.

Ability to answer customer questions, resolve customer problems, help with account statements, and refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.

Supervisory responsibility over those working on the teller line.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Minimum of one year of bank experience is required.

Cash handling, sales, and/or customer service experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the demonstration of effective listening and communication abilities are highly recommended.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, and outside bank personnel.

Communicate Orally.

Normal daily physical activities to include: walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.

Must be able to read reports and use computer.

Occasionally will lift 20-30 pounds (files, cash drawer, etc.)
