Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is seeking a qualified ICC-Certified Building Inspector to join our team in Belton, TX. This position involves inspecting commercial, residential, and industrial properties during and after construction to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections before, during, and after construction for code compliance.
  • Issue violation notices, permits, and stop-work orders when necessary.
  • Document findings and effectively communicate results to homeowners and contractors.
  • Coordinate with and support fellow field inspectors.
  • Provide clarifications on code-related issues to walk-ins and callers.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and supervising inspection staff.
  • Conduct ride-alongs to provide feedback and consistency in inspections.
  • Serve as a resource for interpreting Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Elevator standards.
  • Stay informed on new developments in the field and pursue continued education.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • International Code Council (ICC) Certifications in Commercial and Residential Inspection required.
  • Texas State Plumbing Inspector's License (preferred).
  • 3-5 years minimum field experience in building inspection.
  • Municipal experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
